| Dr. Fantegrossi received his Ph.D. in Biopsychology from the University of Michigan in 2002. He completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Michigan Hospital (Departments of Pharmacology and Nuclear Medicine) before joining the faculty at Emory University in July 2004. Dr. Fantegrossi is an Assistant Research Professor in the Division of Neuroscience at the Yerkes National Primate Research Center, a faculty member of the Emory University Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology program, and a visiting Assistant Professor in the School of Psychology at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He has received a number of scientific awards and honors including the American Psychological Association Wyeth Young Psychopharmacologist Award and the College on Problems of Drug Dependence Early Career Investigator Award. Dr. Fantegrossi has also received several teaching awards and fellowships, including the University of Michigan Center for Research on Learning and Teaching Fellowship and the Emory University / Howard Hughes Medical Institute Teacher Scholar Award. He is a member of the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, the College on Problems of Drug Dependence, the Behavioral Pharmacology Society, and the International Study Group Investigating Drugs as Reinforcers. His research interests center upon the unique behavioral and neuropharmacological effects of methylenedioxy amphetamine congeners and serotonergic hallucinogens, using assays of drug discrimination, self-administration, drug elicited-behavior, and PET neuroimaging. Dr. Fantegrossi is a regular reviewer for the journals Psychopharmacology, Neuropharmacology, the Journal of Pharmacology & Experimental Therapeutics, and Pharmacology Biochemistry and Behavior.
