Other major working paper archives in economics
and finance:
- The
Washington
University
Electronic Working Paper Archive is an award winning service
devoted
to the free distribution of working papers in economics.
- The Social Science
Research
Network
is a fee-based service that will deliver daily via e-mail about 6
abstracts
of working papers and papers accepted for publication in many
accounting,
economics, finance and law journals. Subscribers pay for each "journal"
which contains, roughly, a broad JEL category. You may also submit
abstracts
of your working papers to their service. The SSRN has an electronic
circulation
of several hundred thousand.
- The National Bureau of Economic
Research
has a search engine you can use to find bibliographic information about
current working papers. A new service allows you to view working papers
on line with the Adobe Acrobat viewer.
- The JSTOR
project provides on-line access to older issues of several major
economics
and finance journals. You can go directly to the list of journals
available
for browsing. You will need the adobe acrobat viewer to read the
articles.
- At Elsevier/North-Holland
site, you can perform keyword and author search in all of their
journals
(such as European
Economic Review , J.
of Public Economics , J.
of Monetary Economics , J.
of International Economics , J.
of Econometrics , J.
of Economic Behaviour and Organisation , J.
of Financial Economics , as well as the Handbooks
in Economics series). Furthermore, COMPLETE PAPERS are available
for
most journals since 1997 as long as your library is subscribing to the
journal.
