Grading
There will be three exams during the semester, which will be equally
weighted and will amount to 90% of your grade. 10% of your grade will
be accounted for by five short quizzes. There will be also an
(optional) extra-credit assignment, and the points obtained (maximum of
5%) will be added to the final grade. No make-up exam will be given
under any circumstances. If you miss either of the tests due to a
documented emergency, your other tests’ grades will be re-weighted to
compensate for this at the discretion of the instructor.
Aside from the Fall Recess (Friday,
October 10th & Monday, October 13th) and Thanksgiving (Wednesday,
November 26th & Friday, November 28th), please note that there will
be no class on Friday, November 21st.
