ITA Charter
Note: The ITA and CIRT finished their work and are no longer meeting.

The Information technology Architecture (ITA) committee was chartered by the Provost in June 1999 to oversee the development of an Emory University IT Architecture, consisting of a technical infrastructure, policies, and standards.

The role of the committee included:
  1. Consider the vision of broad University goals to be provided by CIRT and agree on the role of IT architecture in meeting those goals.
  2. Decide what IT policies and standards are needed to help achieve those goals.
  3. Set and update University-wide architecture, policies, and standards.
  4. Prioritize IT efforts in relation to the University's requirements.

The Information Technology Division's role was to provide technical leadership, and help the committee arrive at informed consensus.

Members of the committee were invited by the Provost to serve, and could include representatives selected from the Schools and Divisions. Included were the chair of ITD's Architecture & Standards Committee and a Healthcare IS liaison.
