Specialization: International relations

Research interests: international conflict and security, peacekeeping, mediation,
the prosecution and termination of civil war, and statistical methods.

Current research projects include an examination of the determinants of
third-party conflict management onset and success using a political cover
framework (with Kyle Beardsley), the ability of peacekeepers to attract
foreign direct investment (with Jeffrey Kucik), the tradeoffs between matching
and parametric regression techniques, and the causes and consequences of rebel
group splintering.
