Nadya Hajj Parks, B.A (Department of Politics and Middle Eastern Studies), University of Virginia, Charlottesville; M.A. (Political Science), Emory University; PhD candidate (Political Science), Emory University. She specializes in Comparative Politics and Qualitative methods with a regional focus on the Middle East. Her dissertation focuses on the origins of property rights among marginalized groups. In particular she examines the formation of property rights among Palestinian refugees. She conducts her field research in Palestinian refugee camps located throughout Jordan and Lebanon. She has co-taught a senior seminar titled Women, Gender and Politics in the Middle East.
