Preface
History is events remembered, not necessarily what actually happened. This narrative is my remembrance of what transpired during a wonderful week with seven other people. Since I couldn't participate and still take notes as events were occurring, and since I write slowly with pen and paper, I'm relying on brief journal notes and my memory to recreate the events we went through together. Others will undoubtedly remember a different history, equally valid. At times while I wrote these words, I was there again, experiencing events as I wrote about them. I hope this journal can do the same for you.
