Ability to operate effectively in the Windows environment
Demonstrated by:

• Finding a file (including use of "Find")
• Opening a file
• Saving files to various locations
• Deleting a file
• Using Copy, Cut and Paste commands
• Correcting your own mistakes

Ability to use word processing (Microsoft Word)
Demonstrated by:

• Opening a file
• Saving files to various locations (i.e. F and G drives)
• Performing simple editing, including copy, cut and paste commands
• Using Undo
• Having a basic understanding of the main menu features
• Creating a new document
• Deleting a document

Decision: We will promote the knowledge of WorkFlows among all Bib Gateway Services staff

Ability to effectively use e-mail
Demonstrated by:

• Opening an attachment
• Downloading mail
• Sending mail
• Creating address books
• Saving a draft message
• Setting up and managing e-mail files and folders (know space limitations etc. and how to maintain what you want to keep)
• Setting up and accessing e-mail through Netscape

Decision: We will promote the use of Netscape mail as the preferred mail program.

Ability to open and use a scheduling program (currently Meeting Maker)

• Scheduling a meeting
• Replying to a meeting invitation
