Q: What is a serial?
A: A serial is a special type of publication that meets three criteria:

• There's more than one part (issued in successive parts)
• There's a numbering system or a date designation (bears a numerical or
• chronological designation)
• It is intended to be published indefinitely

Which leads to the important question:

Q: How is a serial like the Energizer Bunny?
A: It keeps going and going….

Q: Who do I give problems or questions to?
A: Please check the Serials Task List for specific responsibilities or ask any SerCat person (see Task List for contact numbers). If you do not need an immediate answer there are labeled shelves on the counterheight by Richard Gess’ cube for questions or problems. These shelves will be checked daily. Please remember to put your name on the item so it (or the answer) can be returned to the appropriate person.
