Workflows printing in "Version 99"
Following upgrade of EUCLID to Unicorn version 99.4, there will be some changes to the way printing works in Workflows.
When you use Workflows for the first time after upgrading to Version 99.4, as you attempt to print from a staff function, a window will open entitled "Set print executable," prompting you to give it the location of the auxiliary program file (with *.EXE extension) that you want to use to view and print records.
If you know the path to this program file, you can type in the full path. For example, on most Woodruff Libraries workstations, the path to Wordpad is
D:\Program Files\Windows NT\Accessories\Wordpad.exe
Rather than type in this long address, you may find it easier to navigate to the file and choose it. One way is illustrated below:

The folder Workflows chooses by default is the folder it is installed in (D:\Program Files\Sirsi\Workflows). You need to find a different folder within Program files.

Click the arrow next to the "Look in" window to show the available drives. Click on Program Files to open that folder.
Double-click
Windows NT folder
Scroll to the Windows NT folder, select it and double-click to open.

Double-click Accessories folder.

Highlight Wordpad.exe and click the Open button to select it as the application for printing.
You can also use the "up a level" button to navigate through the folders to find your application.![]()

Once the print application is selected, you can change it by going to File, then Print Setup
The Reports Wizards allow you to set a separate path to an application (executable file) for viewing and for printing. This can be the same or a different application. Right-click the icon of one of the wizards for reports, check the default path specified for these applications, and correct it if necessary. The small button next to the path window is a helper that allows you to navigate through your file directories to find the application.
Setting the path in one Reports Wizard carries over to the Properties of the other Reports wizards.
In Unicorn 99.4 Workflows, if you wish to import files from a floppy disk or other source, you must use the Marcimport wizard. That wizard's Preferences screen appears when you first open it, and it shows a path to an application ("executable file") to be used should you wish to view a file that has been already imported to EUCLID but hasn't yet been loaded. Check the path and if it is not correct, enter the correct path to the application you want to use.

These may be preferable for a particular use, e.g., Word, when saving reports to be modified later using sophisticated formatting; Notepad, when it is necessary to save reports without added formatting in an ASCII text file.
Microsoft Word: D:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\winword.exe
Notepad: D:\WINNT\notepad.exe
