"Edoras" Oil on canvas, 13"x21" wide. Artist Commentary: I spent Saturday in the Riddermark, in the valley of Harrowdale. I rode north from Edoras before dawn and set my easel on a dew-bejeweled swell above the windswept sea of grass . The White Mountains blushed lavendar in the early dawn light, and as the sun gilded the slopes of the Starkhorn, four figures on three swift mounts thundered past me and rushed on toward the walled city.
