Artist Commentary: I spent Saturday spent Saturday on Amon Hen, near the Seat of Seeing. It was stormy, but the clouds parted at midday and rivers of light poured through violet clouds, gilding the great lake below. I tried to capture all in oil: the dark forest below the hill's brow, white birds flitting, and the ephemeral light on the distant shores.
