"Resurrection" Oil on canvas, 13"x21" wide. Artist Commentary: Gandalf is a "servant of the Secret Fire, wielder of the Flame of Anor". As such, he is given the grace to return after his mortal combat with the Balrog in the depths of Khazad-dûm. In this painting, I wanted to show the familiar Gandalf the Grey, but with that hint of grace flooding around him as he travels through the Misty Mountains.
