Artist Commentary: During Aragon and the Hobbits' crossing of the Midgewater Marshes, they saw lightning flickering in the east. Later, they discovered evidence of a great battle on the summit of Amon Sul, Weathertop, where Gandalf had held off the ringwraiths.
