Artist Commentary: Treebeard (or, in Sindarin, "Fangorn") was the first Ent encountered in The Two Towers. In this rendering, I've put either Pippin or Merry (you get to decide) in conversation with the venerable "shepherds of trees". I owe much of the original compositional conception to several works by Maxfield Parrish.
