"Cana" Oil on canvas, 14"x11" wide. Artist Commentary: This is a somewhat surreal image of Christ with an ethereal Blessed Virgin Mary at the wedding feast of Cana. Christ is clothed in a flaming, feathered cloak next to the water jug. He holds a fish in his hands, the sign of the "fisher of men". The water jug is filled and awaiting His first miracle. Threatening storm clouds build behind Christ, while St. Mary prays for the coming of God's Kingdom.
