"Kyle of Lochalsh Dragon, Rainbow variety" Oil on wood, 24"x32" wide. Artist Commentary: This oil on wood wildlife silhouette is a young adult Kyle of Lochalsh dragon. This one is about 7 months old and is flying. The coloration of this dragon marks it as a "Rainbow" variant, usually associated with clutches found in the Outer Hebrides. This dragon was captured after hatching when it was tangled in a fishing line in the open Atlantic, but has recovered nicely. Has been trained as a sentry and will stand guard over doorways or windowframes.
