Welcome

I teach and conduct research in the field of comparative political institutions. My primary research agenda concerns whether and when domestic and international legal institutions will constrain state authority. I am particularly interested in how judicial communication (both in formal opinions and in the media) influences judicial power. In addition to my primary agenda, I am involved in institutional projects concerning dual nationality and Latino immigration, political rhetoric and democratic survival.
