I converted from wire wheels to steel wheels. The wire wheels just got to be too much of a hassle to maintain. At the time of the conversion, each wire wheel had at least one broken spoke and several loose ones, none of which could be economically repaired or replaced. The ventilated wheels and vertical bumperettes (brief explanation and some large photos) are correct for the Sprite Mark I and early Mark II, but not my Mark III. Though not original, I like the looks of this combination. Thanks go to Frank Clarici for the wheels and to Peter Caldwell for the front suspension work!
