Jeff & Claudia's 1965 Mk III Austin-Healey Sprite.
The Parts Bin is temporarily closed.

Here are some ACTION PHOTOS of our newly-acquired Sprite. I (Jeff) bought it the last day of May from a fellow up in Simpsonville, SC. Drove it home that day (Decatur, GA; near Atlanta), a distance of about 150 miles. The car is in great shape.

In the Land of Giants...
Here I am in the PO's driveway. I've just bought the car. I am 5'7" on a good day. These cars are small!

 On the Road Again...
Here I am putt-putting down I-85 to Atlanta. This picture was taken by Wayne Whitaker, my good friend who is always getting roped into my projects. The tach and speedo are off, so I'm timing myself with the mile markers. I had plenty of time to calculate that I was averaging 48 mph. At the first of three rest stops, Wayne assured me that we never cleared 50.

 Safe at Home.
Made it home without a problem, though it was raining heavily near Atlanta. The most I can say about the leaks is that I know exactly where they are.

 Ready for a Spin.
The Sprite is much more fun than what I thought it would be. Top-down driving, even to work, is thoroughly enjoyable. The next big trip is up to the North Georgia Mountains. Lots of twisty roads.
