(1) Graduate students: All decisions on graduate student admissions are made by a departmental committee, and not into individual research laboratories. Please apply through the website of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, where application materials can be downloaded and submitted:

Students are accepted into individual research groups in February of the first year of study, after completing a series of research rotation experiences in two or three different laboratories.

(2) Undergraduate students: Completion or concurrent enrollment in CHEM 226 - 227 is required. Please make an appointment directly with Prof. McDonald to discuss research opportunities.

(3) Postdoctoral associates: Applications should be mailed to Prof. McDonald at the Department of Chemistry, Emory University, Atlanta, GA 30322. Your application should include:

(a) Curriculum vitae, including publication list

(b) Detailed research summary, including work in progress or not yet published

(c) Statement of long-term career plans and goals for postdoctoral study

(d) A list of agencies to which you will apply for independent funding for your postdoctoral studies

(e) A list of faculty / previous supervisors who can provide recommendations on your behalf; please provide complete contact information for each person
