[*]Research Summary[Check this out]

My research concerns the international political economy, international cooperation, the interaction of domestic and international politics, international effects of domestic legislative and partisan institutions, and international dispute settlement, using game theoretic and statistical research methods.

I am currently working on several projects, dealing with (1) specific partisan and legislative institutional determinants of the democratic peace, (2) the influence of different kinds of international dispute settlement institutions, all lacking enforcement power, on the outcome of conflicts, and (3) the determinants of inititiation, escalation, and resolution of international trade disputes under the World Trade Organization and its predecessor, the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT).

My dissertation, Posturing Parliaments: Ratification, Uncertainty, and International Bargaining, examined the impact of uncertainty about legislative behavior on international trade disputes under GATT.

Some of my published and unpublished work is available here.
