Yesterday, Max "celebrated" his 2 month birthday. he went to the doctor and weighed in at 12 pounds 9 ounces -- a 2 lb 3oz gain from last month and is now 23 1/2 inches long -- an inch longer. these "stats" put him in the 75th percentile for weight and height. The Doctor categorized Max as "perfect" (as do his unbiased parents). He had a fun 2 weeks -- he met his aunt Helen and his first cousin -- Abby -- who is a great playmate & teacher! he smiles a bit more (which I tried to capture) and (I'm afraid to say it for fear of jinxing it) is sleeping longer periods at night. Also, it's been a lot warmer here, so yesterday Max and I played (in the shade) on a blanket -- since he always falls asleep in the carriage, I think this was the first time he was aware of the outside. He was so excited with the sky, trees, etc., he didn't stop moving his hands and feet. it was great! (I included some pictures)
