I am an assistant professor in the department of political science at Emory University, where I teach courses in quantitative research methods, statistical modeling, and comparative political behavior.

My research focuses on the analysis of categorical, clustered, and hierarchical data. I am especially interested in issues of measurement and inference using latent variable models, and am co-author of the R package poLCA for latent class analysis. I apply these methods to problems in the comparative study of public opinion, elections, democratic representation and good governance.
