Currently, I am combining research with my clinical residency training in anesthesiology. I am extremely fortunate to have worked on and off with Andrew Jenkins for over 3 years. I began working in the Jenkins lab toward the end of my MD/PhD training. I went to Emory for Medical School and Georgia Tech for my PhD in Bioengineering as part of Emory's Medical Scientist Training Program (MD/PhD program). My PhD thesis advisors were Ron Calabrese, PhD, and Robert Butera, PhD. I received a Bachelor's of Science degree in Computational Neuroscience from the University of Florida. While at the University of Florida I was introduced to electrophysiology techniques by Janet Zengel, PhD. My research focus is in mechanisms of anesthetic agents and the clinical states they produce.
