I obtained my B.Sc in Physics and my Ph.D. in Biophysics from Imperial College London, (back when it was still part of the University of London). I Postdoc'd with Nick Franks and Bill Lieb at Imperial before doing Postdocs with Neil Harrison at the University of Chicago and at Weill-Cornell Medical College in New York NY. Most recently I became an Assistant Professor in Anesthesiology at Emory University in 2003. Throughout my career I have been interested in the molecular pharmacology of ligand gated ion channels and the mechanisms of general anesthetic action. |
