The Atlanta Brass Society, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting the performance, study, and appreciation of brass music. Its goals and objectives include:

• Exploring new ideas and directions in brass playing technique and musicianship

• Providing a music lending library for members

• Publishing The Atlanta Brass Society Journal and Presto

• Organizing and coordinating monthly reading sessions for brass players at various skill levels

• Offering master classes featuring prominent brass players and composers

• Encouraging research leading to new instrument design

• Encouraging, commissioning and supporting new compositions for brass

• Expanding educational, performance and employment opportunities for brass players

• Encouraging and assisting in the formation, growth and maturing of brass ensembles

• Assisting in audience development for brass ensemble programs

• Nurturing the concept of fellowship and cooperation among musicians for the benefit of musical excellence
