Web Links For Exploring Islam

By far the best site on the web for English speakers to learn about Islam is that created by our UGA colleague, Professor Alan Godlas.  His site is up-to-date, filled with basic and sophisticated information, and does not promote any tendentious views:

The following two sites are also good sources of information.  The first has a decided Sunni perspective, while the second reflects Shi`i perspectives.

http://www.islamworld.net/

www.al-islam.org/

The next three sites will help you find verses and passages in the Quran.  The third will let you hear the Quran recited while seeing the Arabic text.

The last site is a guide to the Pilgrimage (Hajj).
